New Web Site On Its Way! by Marc

It became apparent after a few short weeks of editing the existing All Negative Web site by hand, that there must be a better way. So, the decision was made to develop a fully functional web application in python using the Django Framework. Now, 2 weeks into the development, the web site is already beginning to show significant progress.

Among the many difficulties there were in managing a flat html web site, it was becoming increasingly hard to add new content. New artists were requesting to be part of the magazine all the time and Astrid was getting overwhelmed with the amount of work required to add them to the original web site. Not only did she need to create the new page by copying an existing one and making sure to change all the parts, she needed to add links to the new page and update this in both english and spanish. The task was time consuming and prone to error.

The new site's primary goal is to facilitate these frequent changes while maintaining the unique All Negative look and feel and supporting the multiple languages. No simple task, but with Django, it has been easy to implement.

More later... (I'm a coder, not a writer)
